Welcome to my website! I received my Ph.D. in Marketing from Syracuse University in 2024 and most recently served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Lehigh University. I am currently on the job market.
My research combines machine learning, econometrics, causal inference, and applied microeconomics to study ongoing trends and technologies in retail markets, their implications for firm revenue and consumer outcomes, and the strategic responses firms can adopt in light of these dynamics. My current projects focus on three core areas: optimal delivery design for multichannel and omnichannel retailers, delivery performance and customer satisfaction in multi-marketplace platforms, and the design and effectiveness of marketing communications, including advertising, and brand activism.
A fun fact about me: In Persian, Saman means “calm and solace” which is the opposite of how I usually feel right before presenting my research!
